The Earth Has Another Gift for You
Developing a relationship with nature is one of the joys of being human. And like all relationships, the more invested we are, the richer our experience will be.
We've spent over 35 years investing in and learning from nature. One thing nature has been very clear about is that the Earth isn't just a place you live on. It's built to support you. When you find your way into that connection, things shift. Not all at once, but quietly, over time.
We call this type of connection deep grounding, and it's different from the regular grounding you probably know about.
Regular grounding happens naturally by walking outside, eating simple food, putting your feet on the grass, and slowing down. These approaches work. Your body responds because you're a living thing on a living planet. This basic connection happens by default. It’s always available.
The level of deep grounding has its own unique benefits, including enhancing your experience with regular grounding. It isn’t more difficult than regular grounding to achieve, but it is helpful to know how to activate it.
Deep grounding is when the Earth's energy meets yours directly. Not through your senses. Not through effort. It happens through the Root chakra — the energy center at the base of your spine. Think of it like a door between you and the Earth. Its primary job is to connect you to the Earth's energy.
When that door opens, something shifts. The Earth's energy is ancient. It's steady. It's much bigger than anything you're carrying. When you tap into it, you're no longer carrying everything alone.
Here's something nature shared with us early on that has stayed with us: when we feel drained, it's often because we've been using our own energy to process everything coming at us from the world. But the Earth can help carry that. It's made to. We just have to learn how to let it.
One way to start is through a simple visualization nature shared with us.
Close your eyes. Picture yourself in a forest, standing near a large tree. Take your time. Look at the trunk. Notice how big it is. When you're ready, place your hands on the bark. Feel whatever comes, or just think about the tree if nothing comes right away. There's no rush or wrong way to do this.
Now, gently let yourself step inside the trunk. Don't force it. Just let it happen.
Once you're inside, feel your body become the tree. Your arms stretch up into the branches. Your feet and legs sink into the soil, becoming roots. Feel them reach down and spread out, connecting to the earth below. Stay there. Feel how still it is. Feel how the roots hold without any effort at all. Feel how the earth’s energy is also connecting to you as a tree.
After five or ten minutes — longer if you want — let the image fade. Keep the feeling with you as you go about your day.
The more you come back to this visualization, the easier it becomes. Nature works slowly and builds quietly. This does too.
Also, Earth Solution was made to support this exercise and deep grounding in general by helping the Root chakra open so the connection can deepen on its own. It just takes a few drops a day, working quietly in the background while you live your life.
It’s easy. Like nature.
