Ocean

About The Ocean Archetype

The Ocean archetype represents a person who tends to look at life through a spiritual lens. Always seeing the bigger picture and usually considered wise beyond their years. But the ocean is not always calm and this person can be highly expressive and often deeply creative. A person with this archetype is a natural connector and happy to help bring people together, but also not drawn into the needs of a group. An independent thinker with mystical leanings, this person is easy to talk to and people often seek them out for advice.

A person with the Ocean archetype has a depth of sensitivity within them. They have deep currents that help them feel and understand what is not available to most people. They are highly intuitive and often psychic. Like an ocean, most of who they are is hidden below the surface and it may take many years for them to begin to understand their own hidden mysteries let alone share them with others. This archetype also has a connection to the power within nature and can use that connection for healing purposes once they learn how.

They often cut their own path in life. They begin life as an observant child with an inherent appreciation for the magic and beauty around them. They are always moving internally, not from being nervous or anxious, but because they remain in a state of curiosity and wonder. In relationships, they are present and generally loyal but can struggle to find someone who can connect to them in the deeper ways they can connect to others.

The Ocean archetype, a major water element, has the same relationship to water as other water element archetypes but is more magnified. When a person with this archetype stands in front of an ocean or sees an ocean from a distance, they very naturally feel a true connection to the water and its depths and begin to energetically merge with it. The degree of awareness of this merging will increase over time as this archetype evolves within their own gifts and sensitivities.

It is not uncommon for this archetype to experience visions when they are at an ocean, but not limited to these locations. Because visions can occur with some regularity for this archetype it is important for them to have an observational mindset as the vision unfolds, and after the vision to wait several hours or up to several days before considering its meaning. Lastly, express gratitude for the ability to see the vision and acknowledge that it has come through them, not from them.

People who are the Ocean archetype should be aware they usually need more rest than an average person. They are managing more energy in general and an increased/higher vibrational energy much of the time, requiring them to secure more time to rest each day. This archetype is highly motivated and has more energy than most so they can overdo or over-commit. It is important for them to recognize their limits and work within them.

Movement and exercise are particularly important to this archetype. As children, this archetype is one of the easiest to see forming. These children are sensitive, aware and curious. They should be encouraged to follow their deeper mystical interests which are often associated with nature.

Guided Exercise

Activating Oceanic Energy

The Ocean archetype’s primary interest is spirituality in the physical world but also the subtle or unseen worlds. This combination of interest in both the physical/practical world and the subtle energetic worlds helps balance this archetype.

Too much focus on the physical world without seeing its spiritual significance or overly tuning into the non-physical world to the exclusions of its relationship to the physical world is not desirable. The Ocean archetype has a relationship to the power of the earth’s oceans, but it can only tap into that relationship and use it for good if the spiritual counterpart to that oceanic energy is strongly connected. This exercise will help with that connection.

Energetic arcs pass from each large body of water through the atmosphere connecting the oceans and seas on earth. They form a network of energy that supports each body of water and passes information about these great bodies between each of them. While Aga lines connect humans more linearly, these energy arcs are unique, not only in their structure and function but also in their potency. A person with the Ocean archetype mimics the energetic communication structure of oceans and seas, aligning them with those bodies and deepening their connection to nature. It simultaneously creates a similar communication structure with other people to facilitate the sharing of more evolved information, often outside their conscious awareness. This ability develops naturally in the life of this archetype, but it can be enhanced by practicing this exercise.

In nature, all arcs are sections of full circles. Visualizing a circle in this exercise stimulates the energetic arcs of connection.

Stand indoors, or if possible in nature. You may keep your eyes open, although to start it may be easier to close them. Imagine you are standing in a large circular band of light that moves under your feet, circles up over your head, and then down the other side to complete itself. Let there be enough space on the inside of the circle for you to easily stand. Try making the circle approximately three to five feet above your head. This is a vertically standing circle. Be sure you are imagining a circle, not an oval.

See or feel this circle in your mind’s eye. Allow it to establish itself. Take your time. This circle of light can be white, or any color or colors it evolves into. The color itself does not have particular importance for this exercise. This circle of light represents the goodness within you. Once the circle feels established, imagine that you propel it out into the world. You can do this purely in your mind or you could make a gesture upwards with both arms. However, you choose to do this depends on what feels right to you.

Spend at least the next five minutes or longer sensing the trajectory of your circle of light. There is no need to “know” where it has gone, just that it is traveling. When this exercise is done over time you will begin to receive information back from your circle of light. This may happen the first time, but not necessarily. You do not need to understand the information that returns to you but take notes on what you do pick up on. You will likely be receiving pieces of a map that will eventually tell a story you will relate to. When you are finished with the exercise take a few deep breaths and continue with your day. You may repeat this exercise as often as you like.

Your Nature Archetype came from nature and what we mean by that is Michael, our co-founder, telepathically received this information from nature intelligence - the conscious intelligence behind nature.

Nature intelligence has been watching humans for millennia. It’s safe to say they know us very well and that knowledge shows in the depth of information contained in the 12 Nature Archetypes.

Our communication with nature intelligence is the heart of Sulphur Mountain Road and it has also helped make our Sun, Earth & Ocean Solutions.
